- "App" or "Application" refers to Re:Act, the habit tracking mobile application
- "Company" (referred to as "we", "us", or "our") refers to Re:Act
- "Device" means any device that can access the Application such as an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch
- "Personal Data" means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual
- "Service" refers to the Application and all features provided within it
- "User" (referred to as "you", "your") means the individual accessing or using the Application
- "Health Data" means any data accessed from Apple Health, including workouts, steps, sleep, and activity data
- "Habit Data" means information about your habits, including names, icons, completion history, streaks, and settings
2. Introduction
Re:Act is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our habit tracking application.
We operate on a local-first architecture principle, meaning your data is primarily stored on your device, and we have no access to it.
3. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple ID, we receive your name and email address (if you choose to share it). Apple may provide a private relay email that protects your real email address.
- Habit Data: Information about your habits that you create and manage, including habit names, icons, colors, completion history, streak data, reminder settings, and frequency configurations.
Health Data (Optional)
If you grant permission, we access read-only data from Apple Health:
- Workout sessions
- Step counts
- Sleep analysis
- Active energy burned
This data is used solely to automatically mark relevant habits as complete.
Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: iOS version, device type, and language settings for app functionality and localization.
- Usage Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage patterns stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the habit tracking Service
- Calculate streaks and completion statistics
- Sync your data across your Apple devices via iCloud (if enabled)
- Automatically complete habits based on Apple Health data (if enabled)
- Send local reminder notifications at your scheduled times
- Display personalized statistics and progress charts
5. Third-Party Services
We integrate with Apple services:
- Sign in with Apple: Authentication (name, email optional)
- iCloud: Data synchronization (encrypted)
- Apple Health: Auto-completion (read-only health data)
- Push Notifications: Local reminders only, no data transmitted
We do NOT use third-party analytics services, advertising networks, social media tracking, or any external data processors.
6. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage:
- All habit data is stored locally on your device using secure iOS storage mechanisms
- Apple ID authentication tokens are stored in iOS Keychain (hardware-encrypted)
- No sensitive data is stored in plain text
iCloud Synchronization (if enabled):
- Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Data is stored in your private CloudKit container
- Only your Apple ID can access this data
- We have no access to your iCloud data
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties.
Data sharing only occurs through:
- iCloud: Your data syncs to your personal iCloud account (controlled by you)
- Apple: Authentication via Sign in with Apple (covered by Apple's privacy policy)
8. User Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View all your habit data within the app at any time
- Correction: Edit any habit information directly in the app
- Deletion: Delete individual habits instantly or all data by removing the app
- Opt-Out: Disable iCloud synchronization, revoke Apple Health permissions, or disable notifications
- Data Portability: Request a copy of all your data by contacting support
9. Data Retention
- Habit data: Until you delete it or remove the app
- Completion history: Until you delete it or remove the app
- iCloud backup: Follows your iCloud retention settings
- Authentication tokens: Until you sign out
- Local analytics: 90 days, then automatically deleted
Removing the app from your device permanently deletes all local data.
10. Cookies and Tracking
Re:Act is a mobile application and does not use cookies. We employ a minimal tracking approach:
- No third-party tracking
- No advertising identifiers
- No cross-app tracking
- Local-only anonymous usage analytics
11. Children's Privacy
Re:Act is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. However:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent
- Users under 13 should use the app under parental supervision
- If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will delete it promptly
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
